education for an inclusive and sustainable future

Education has a vital role to play in society in the 21st century and beyond.

At Fora Education, we believe that values such as inclusiveness, belonging, happiness, creativity, and innovation need to be amplified in education for future sustainability.

We are a non-profit LLC devoted to educational development around the world. Our specializations include research, policy analysis, evaluation, curriculum design, implementation, and working with partners to design customized solutions to educational challenges.

Please see below for more details.

Fora offers support for teachers, schools, governments, and civil society organizations. Technical support can take many forms, from a short-term consultancy to generate design solutions in schools and school systems, or a formative evaluation of education policy implementation, to a long-term relationship that persistently works towards critically understanding and overcoming complex educational and societal barriers.

We believe in making educational products that are affordable, usable, and research-informed. The development of our products and services are done concurrently with teachers and school professionals.

Products & Services

Educational policy and practice require research-informed decisions. Better understanding our world and the people on it also has inherent value. At Fora, we specialize in designing and implementing research that makes a social impact. We believe in empowering participant voices, telling powerful stories through data, and focusing on the complexities of social systems.

Research

We fundamentally believe in the power of teachers and teaching. The founder of Fora, Dr. Matthew Schuelka, has worked in schools at all levels – from kindergarten to graduate level – his entire career. Besides running teacher and school workshops, we also offer trainings to government officials, politicians, and other professionals on topics such as inclusion and diversity in education, human rights in education, research-informed practice, policy evaluation and implementation, and universal design for learning.

Film Production

Fora Education produces and creates films through Fora Films. We believe in using the power of movies to tell stories of the marginalized and underrepresented, translate research into public impact, and seek solutions to challenges to sustainability and inclusion.

Where We've Worked

“I believe that it is the business of every one interested in education to insist upon the school as the primary and most effective interest of social progress and reform in order that society may be awakened to realize what the school stands for…”

— John Dewey, My Pedagogic Creed (1897)
